Lawrence Conley Sr.
Before joining the Band in 1973 as one of the original 14 members, Larry had been a member of the NYPD Pipes and Drums since 1963. Known as "His Eminence" or "Cardinal Larry Sr.", he would always find a way to smooth things over if you got "jammed up". He achieved the rank of captain on the Yonkers P.D. and was the the Band's first lead drummer. . His organizational knowledge helped formulate the constitution and by-laws used by the Band today.
Larry remained active in the Band from its beginning throughout 1980 when illness forced him to take a leave of absence. He passed on in October 1982. Larry Conley Sr. was the second member to be accepted into the Ring of Honor.
