Joseph Mansfield
1926 - 2000 

Joe Mansfield  was a U. S. Marine and a member of the White Plains Police Dept. and was the first official Drum Major for the Band. 

He retired from WPPD as a Detective and went to work as bodyguard for the Wellington Mara family of White Plains who owned the NY Giants Football Team.  

Joe eventually became the Chief of Security for the Giants.  He was prominently seen on TV, along the sidelines, as the headset lineman behind Bill Parcells at NY Giants football games and was voted two Superbowl Championship rings (diamonds and all) by the active players of the Giants.
